Photo Hanging Above

Too many changes to push herself through
Fear and self hatred neverendingly grew.
There was only one person who she felt she could love
She looked at the photo hanging above.
She looked up as she pulled the blade to her wrist
And stared at the smiling lips she had kissed.
She knew right then that it was time to go
Her pain and misery had moved too slow.
She couldnt overcome it so split open her vein.
The blood poured out like a water main.
Trailed down her hand and fell to the floor
But then her lover pushed open the door.
He saw her bleeding and knew this was the end
For the scars of life he could not mend.
To this day he can't forget about her.
He thought of how their conversations were.
"I sometimes wish everything would die,
I can't help myself, I always cry"
"I hate my life, things have fallen to dust
I need to disappear, this world's unjust"
"Why do things have to be this way?"
He had not the slightest clue what to say.
He should have seen this event come near
How could he have missed this? It was so clear.
He should have known that she would kill herself
Just hang her life up on the shelf.
He didn't realize it soon enough,
Now he feels as if this situation is tough.
He turns his head up towards the sky
Sees a vision of her face and begins to cry
"I promise that we'll be together again,
It should be soon, but I'm not sure when"
As if she knew what he screamed, her face coiled in sorrow
She vanished as he yelled "I'll do it tomorrow"
